Carol and I are thrilled to have Obed, Lacy, and the kids as new members of the BMM team for Chad! We have prayed for several years for more missionaries to come to Chad, and their family will be an awesome addition. It is also great that they are “move in ready”, and actually have already moved in.
With Obed being a native Chadian, he knows the traditions and culture of the country. His father was a pastor in Chad, and Obed was raised to love the Lord and has a desire to serve Him. He speaks French and English and several of the local dialects which is an awesome asset. Lacy speaks French since she is a Canadian native, so no language school will be necessary for either of them and their children are learning the languages also.
They have a head-start on their ministry since they began a few years ago with a ministry that is much needed in Chad. There are an enormous number of babies that are orphaned at birth. There are also numerous older orphans that struggle to survive. Obed and Lacy have a heart to help these
precious souls and to raise them in a Christian home and give them the benefits of care and education.
